Visa / Passport:

The time zone in Bali is GMT +08:00 (Western Standard Time WST).

Lying just 80° south of the Equator, Bali can boast a tropical climate with just two seasons a year and an average temperature of around 28° Celsius.
The wet season is from october to april, the dry season from may to september, but it can rain at any time of year and even during the wet season rain is likely to pass quickly.

The Indonesian currency is called Rupiah (Rp).
On the 1st of September 2014 : 1 USD = 11.800 Rp and 1 Euro = 15.300 Rp.
Major credit cards are acceptable in most hotels along with American dollar traveler's cheques.

Balinese and Indonesian are the most widely spoken languages in Bali, and the vast majority of Balinese people are bilingual or trilingual.
There are several indigenous Balinese languages, but most Balinese can also use the most widely spoken option: modern common Balinese.
